Short answer: no. iFunds does not impose a consistency rule, and says it considers such rules counterproductive because traders should be free to adapt to market conditions.
What a consistency rule is
At firms that use one, a consistency rule limits how much of your total profit can come from a single day or a single trade, for example "no day may exceed a set percentage of total profit". The aim is to discourage one lucky trade, but it can also force traders to cap good days or delay payouts.
What its absence means for you
- ✓A strong trending day does not put your payout at risk.
- ✓You can trade fewer, larger-conviction setups instead of spreading trades artificially.
- ✓Payout requests are not held up by a rule about how profit was distributed. See multiple withdrawals.
- ✓No minimum trading days either.
The trade-off
Freedom is not the same as safety. The maximum loss limit is still static and still ends the account if you breach it. Big position sizing is where most traders run into it, so risk management matters more, not less.
