Why the exceptions exist
Latency arbitrage and HFT exploit tiny price delays between feeds. They rely on speed advantages rather than a trading edge, and liquidity providers dislike them. An EA that trades on signals over minutes or hours is a different animal.
Before you run a robot
- ✓Check the logic. If your EA depends on feed delays or scalps tiny price gaps, assume it risks the account.
- ✓Size to the loss limit. Make the EA's worst-case drawdown fit inside your account's static limit. See the drawdown guide.

- ✓VPS is fine. IP changes are allowed.
